    • Photograph: Used solely to verify identity, often through advanced technological means.
  • User (Customer) Profile:
    • Name, Email, Mobile Number, Address, Profile Picture: For account creation, service delivery, and communication.
    • Gender, Date of Birth: When required for certain services or programs (e.g., age verification for restricted products). The inclusion of gender may permit users to receive or provide services to/from specific genders, enhancing service suitability.
    • Banking Information: For processing payments for services.

Information Created When You Use Our Services

This may include:

  • Location Information: Depending on the Thumo services you use and your application settings or device permissions, we may collect precise location data determined through information such as GPS, IP address, and Wi-Fi.
    • Providers and Users can utilize the Thumo application without allowing Thumo to collect their precise location information. However, this may affect the functionality available. For example, if you do not allow Thumo to collect your location information, you may need to enter your pickup or delivery address manually. Additionally, location information will be collected from the Driver during your trip and linked to your account, regardless of whether you have enabled Thumo to collect your area data.
  • Service Information: We gather service information related to your use of our services, including the type of services you requested or provided, your order details, the date and time the service was provided, and the total charge. If someone uses your promotion code, we may link your name with that individual.
  • Usage Information: We gather information about how you interact with our services. This includes data such as access dates and times, application features or pages viewed, application crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and third-party sites or services you were using before interacting with our services. In some cases, we collect this information through cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers.   • Communications Data: We enable our users to communicate with one another and Thumo via the Thumo applications, websites, and other services. For instance, we enable Drivers and customers to call each other (in some countries, without disclosing their phone numbers). To provide this service, Thumo receives some information regarding the calls, including the date and time of the call/text and the content of the communications. Thumo may also use this information for customer support services (including to resolve disputes between users), for safety and security purposes, to improve our products and services, and for analytics.

Information From Other Sources

  • User feedback, such as ratings or compliments.
  • Provider feedback, such as ratings or compliments.
  • User furnishing your data in connection with referral programs.
  • Users requesting services for you or on your behalf.

  • Partner transport companies (if you are a Driver who uses our services through an account associated with such a company).
  • The owner of a Thumo for Business or Thumo Provider profile that you use.

Privacy Settings

The Privacy Settings menu in the Thumo App enables users to set or update their location and contacts sharing preferences, and their preferences for receiving mobile notifications from Thumo. Information on these settings, how to set or change these settings, and the effect of turning off these settings are described below.

  • Location Information: Thumo utilizes users' device location services to make it easier to get a safe, reliable Thumo service whenever you require one. Location data enhances our services, including pickups, navigation, and customer support. You can enable/disable or change Thumo's collection of user location data at any time through the Privacy Settings menu in the Thumo App, or via the settings on your mobile device. If you disable the device location services on your device, your use of the Thumo App will be affected. For example, you may need to enter your pickup or drop-off locations manually. Additionally, location information will be collected from the Driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have not enabled Thumo to collect your location data.
  • Notifications: Account and Service Updates: Thumo provides users with arranged status notifications and updates related to your account. These notifications are an important part of using the Thumo App and cannot be disabled. However, you can choose the method by which you receive these notifications through the Privacy Settings menu in the Thumo App.
  • Notifications: Discounts and News: You can enable Thumo to send you push notifications about discounts and news from Thumo. You can enable/disable these notifications at any time through the Privacy Settings menu in the Thumo App.

Device Permissions

Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined specific types of device data that applications cannot access without your consent. These platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent.

The iOS platform will alert you the first time the Thumo App needs permission to access specific types of data and will give you a chance to consent (or not consent) to that. Android devices will notify you of the permissions that the Thumo App seeks before you first use the application, and your usage of the application constitutes your consent.

We may sometimes update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify you of the changes through the Thumo applications or through other means, such as email. To the extent permitted under applicable law, by using our services after such notice, you consent to our updates to this policy.
